Testimonials

Dear Mark,
I recieved the paintings today, I am really so happy with them.

I have recently had the pleasure of purchasing two paintings from Mr. Rosen
and I have to say that it has been a truly worthwhile experience. If
shopping online is this easy, I would do it for everything. Mark has been a
wonderful salesperson and very encourgaing and supportive. Please take
pleasure in knowing that you are in good hands as you shop at Lakshmi
International.

Hi Mark -

I recently received my silk Krishna/Radha painting and was totally blown away by it.  It is more amazing in person than I ever imagined.  I was also very pleased with the care that was taken in packaging and shipping it safely.  I will definitely consider another purchase in the future and will tell others about the site.<BR>

HI Mark,

I just wanted to let you know that the Kali picture got here this morning. She is even more beautiful than on your site. I've had the closeup on my desktop for weeks-- it's exciting to see the real thing. I've already taken it to the frame shop.

It's amazing that you can keep your prices so reasonable for paintings like this. Your site is a wonderful example of what the internet can be like.
Keep up the good work!

Sarah (Germany)

I received my paintings today and thought I'd write to say how pleased I was
with the prints and how thrilled I was with the silk painting.  I am eager
to have them all framed and hung.  I shall continue to visit your website
and hope you will keep me updated on any new silk paintings you may produce.
I consider these, in particular, to be of extremely high quality.

Namaste Mark,

I've received the paintings and am quite happy with them. Please tell me
about the artists, the media and technique. I would also like to know if
there are many of each painting produced which are almost identical.

(Debbie is our only customer whose paintings were lost in transit)
Dear (and very kind and patient) Mark
Lakshmi and Ganesh arrived safely today - they are very beautiful and
now I have to find the perfect frames for them!!!  Thank you very much for
all your trouble!!! I appreciate your kindness (I wonder where those first
two lost Gods got off to).  Anyway, thank you again.
Namaskar,   Debbie

I was recommended to mahakali.com by a friend. As I browsed through the many paintings of the wondrous gods and goddesses of India, I remembered my families wish for an icon that celebrated and personified our 3 year old, India-born daughter Mirabai.

When it came to special requests, ours "took the cake." We wanted a painting of Mirabai, the 16th century Rajasthani princess and queen. Mirabai was disinherited from her family over her inappropriate love for Krishna.
The royal family were unsuccessful in their many attempts to kill Mira
because of Krishna's intervention so they banished her to the forest where she eventually reached enlightenment and legacy status in India folk-law. Mira's songs filled with devotional longing for the vision of Krishna's bodily form are still sung by lover's of God throughout modern day India.

Confined by budgetary constraints, our special request asked from Mark a much larger than normal silk painting. We supplied mark with a printed image and expression for what we wanted to replicate.

Mark and I worked through at least 4 months of logistics and technical challenges. As Mark prepared himself to leave for India, many of my best efforts to supply his needs failed. Mark left for India with a final (black-and-white) sketchy image of Mirabai absorbed in song as Krishna appears to her invoking draw. When my wife and I removed the finished product from the mailing package, the fruit of Mark's selfless work took our breath away (this is not just a cliche, our breath was robbed from under us). Our heart and pulse raced and we received the darshan of Krishna and Mirabai. Now

Now, our beloved daughter Mirabai plays with toys and sings under the matted and framed painting and we are an ecstatic family.   I hope Mark puts an image of this painting in the private gallery of mahakali.com for everyone's darshan. I wish for the success of mahakali.com because, although Mark and I are complete strangers (just in contact through this medium), I honor this service with gratitude. Thanks again Mark!   :)
